Dear developers,
As per previous information (1st VPC | 2nd VPC | 3rd VPC | 6-Months Notification), to further improve our services, the current PSD2 interface will be replaced by a new dedicated interface
Please note that our mandatory migration phase, where all TPPs are asked to migrate their traffic from the current solution to the new dedicated interface, is starting in 4 weeks on 15th of January 2026.
As a reminder, we would like to provide you with key details regarding the migration process moving forward:
  • The complete specification for the new interface is already available on our Commerzbank Developer Portal (PIS | AIS), and services can already be used.
  • To ensure compliance with the regulatory 3-month announcement as per Delegated Ref. 2018/389 (RTS) Art. 30 (4), we will start a 3-months mandatory migration phase (parallel phase) on the 15th of January until 15th of April 2026.
  • During the mandatory migration phase, all TPPs are asked to connect all traffic to the new dedicated interface. We reserve the right to cut off the current solution after the 3 -months migration period has ended.
  • We thus strongly encourage you to onboard to the new dedicated interface as early as possible to ensure a seamless transition before the final closure of the current PSD2 Interface on 08.05.2026.
Onboarding Process:
Onboarding to the new solution is already possible today as part of our voluntary partner campaign. To onboard and connect:
  1. Visit the new solution’s developer portal at https://developer.commerzbank.com/ for our documentation on the new XS2A.
  2. For full integration to our new XS2A dedicated interface, please contact our XS2A Interface Support team at xs2asupport@commerzbank.com in order to request full access to the new solution’s API.
Additional Information:
  • In line with the BaFin Aufsichtsmitteilung from 19.05.2025, the new dedicated interface will not offer the FCS (Funds Confirmation Services) endpoint anymore
  • Please also note that, for security and technical reasons, it will not be possible to use existing consents and payments IDs via the new dedicated interface. This means that all consents will need to be created anew in the new dedicated interface.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this transition. Should you have any inquiries or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you for your understanding.
Your Commerzbank Support-Team
