Dear developers,
After BaFin opened the door for a transitional period for the use of the PSD2 API on 14th of September 2019, we will offer such a solution.
Commerzbank focuses on the benefits for all customers avoiding any interruption, diminishment of service or delay in the payment process.
In concrete terms this means that we will for the time being not prevent screen scraping by authorised payment service providers even after 14th of September, although of course screen scraping in accordance with PSD2 also requires the 2-Factor Authentication (2FA). Commerzbank will activate the 2FA on 12th of September 2019. From this date Commerzbank customers will have to use a second factor when logging into their account via www.commerzbank.de. When using photoTAN readers, the regular photoTAN-Scan or the mobileTAN, it is necessary to fill the TAN number into the defined field on the website when logging in. With the photoTAN-Push this step is not necessary for the login and SEPA-transaction. In this case after logging in with the regular credentials a notification on the photoTAN-App needs to be approved and the user will be logged in. No further transfer of the TAN into a field is required.
